LibanPack, the Lebanese Packaging Center has organized the Award Ceremony and Exhibition of Lebanon Student StarPack 2016 for the seventh year in a row, with the support of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI), and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). This year, 400 university students from Lebanese, Egyptian, Tunisian and Moroccan leading universities have participated in the contest.

The Award Ceremony took place at the Union of Arab Chambers Venue in Beirut on Wednesday June 1, 2016 under the Patronage and presence of H.E. the Minister of Industry, Dr. Hussein Al Haj Hassan. Around 500 persons attended the ceremonyfrom industrialists, ambassadors, and representative of economic associations, professors and students.

The award ceremony was followed by an exhibition that featured the innovative projects of all participating students.

Lebanon Student Starpack 2015

LibanPack, the Lebanese Packaging Center has organized the Award Ceremony and Exhibition of Lebanon Student StarPack 2015 for the sixth year in a row, with the support of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI), and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). This year, 200 students from Lebanese leading universities have participated in the contest.

The Award Ceremony took place at the UNESCO Palace on June 11, 2015 at 6 PM under the Patronage and presence of H.E, the Minister of Industry, Dr. Hussein Al Haj Hassan. The ceremony was attended by significant audience from industrialists, ambassadors, representative of economic associations, professors and students.
The award ceremony was followed by an exhibition that featured the innovative projects of the participating students.

Lebanon Student StarPack 2014

LibanPack, has organized the Award Ceremony and Exhibition of Lebanon Student StarPack 2014 for the FIFTH YEAR in a row, with the support of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI), and UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). This year, 500 students from Lebanese leading universities and universities from Egypt, Jordan and Palestine have participated in the contest.

 

The Award Ceremony took place at the UNESCO Palace on May 13, 2014 at 6 PM under the Patronage and presence of H.E, the Minister of Industry, Dr. Hussein Al Haj Hassan. More than 1,000 persons ranging from ministers, ambassadors, head of UN agencies, professors, students and head of economic associations, industrialists, businessmen and media representatives attended the event. The award ceremony was followed by an exhibition that featured the innovative projects of the participating students.

That what all participants have agreed on  in theArab Green Economy Forumthat was held in Adnan Kassar Edifice Thursday March 13,2014 and organized by the General Union of Arab Chamber and LIBANPACK.

The opening session speech was inaugurated by Ms Soha Atallah,LibanPack Director. The session included words of HE Adnan Kassar, President ofthe General Union of Arab Chamber, Dr. Haroutioun Samuelian, Vice Governor of Banque Du Liban, Dr. Fadi Gemayel, President of LibanPack and Mr. Ziad Bekdash,Vice President of the Association of Lebanese industrialists.

Beauty Care Packaging Competition

LibanPack is organizing a Beauty Care Packaging Competition for a private company having a new line of products: Body Lotion, Face Cream, Sun Cream, Shower Gel, and Deodorant.This competition is open for graphic designers, packaging specialists, or industrial engineers.

The objective of this competition is to acknowledge and promote packaging creativity, whether visual or structural, for personal care and beauty products. 

Winners will receive valuable cash prizes:
First Prize Winner: USD 5,000
Second Prize Winner: USD 3,000
Third Prize Winner: USD 1,000

So share with us your artistic packaging design for beauty care products and win a chance to have your design produced and placed on the retail shelves!!

MOU signed with the Palestinian Food Industries Union

The Palestinian Food Industries Union (PFIU) visited LibanPack from October 8, 2012 till October 11, 2012. A working agreement was made between both parties for LibanPack to support PFIU in establishing a Palestinian packaging center. Two study tours will be held in LibanPack for the delivery of training and consultancy activities on packaging and labeling to a group of Palestinian SMEs.

LibanPack Innovation Parc at Horeca 2012

LibanPack exhibited at Horeca for the fourth year in a row, this time with a Packaging Innovation Parc that is the first of its kind in Lebanon and the region.

Four themes were displayed. Those were:

Limited Editions, which focused on the aesthetic appeal of special packages collected from around the world. LibanPack collected examples of limited editions of creative package applications from the global market to reflect the trend towards aesthetic packaging designs and innovative packaging solutions to lure consumers is increasing in the food and beverage industry,

Sustainable Packaging, which featured products that demonstrate the integral part that sustainability plays in innovation of packaging. LibanPack exhibited the most recent advance sin sustainable packaging driven by leading food and packaging industries worldwide.

Smart Packaging, which showcased the different applications of packaging beyond the protection of food.Newest technologies have introduced ‘smart’ packaging that allows consumers to be well informed about the quality of food. The Innovation Parc featured some of the most avant-garde smart packaging for food & beverages.

A centerpiece of the innovation Parc was the work of Lebanese university students who participated in and presented winning projects for the annual Lebanon Student Star Pack Contest. A champion of local talent, LibanPack created StarPack as a vehicle for unleashing the creativity of university students.

The annual Lebanon Student Star Pack 2012 award ceremony and exhibition, in its third edition, was held at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut on the 7th of March 2012. Awarding excellence in packaging and fostering a culture of industry among the Lebanese youth, the event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Lebanese Minister of Industry, Mr. Vrej Sabounjian and attracted an audience of over a thousand, among whose ranks were ambassadors, diplomats, UN agencies representatives, industrialists, professors, and the 700 participating university students. It was emceed by former Miss Lebanon, Mrs. Clemence Ashkar.

The first packaging contest in Lebanon and the region!
 
LibanPack’s Lebanon Student StarPack is back for a third year featuring a wide pool of over 700 participants!

Once again, LibanPack is organizing Lebanon Student StarPack 2012 contest addressed to university students currently enrolled in graphic design and industrial engineering faculties in Lebanon and the region. This year the contest is launched in around 16 universities in Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan.

The objective of this contest is to acknowledge and promote innovation whether visual or structural in the domain of packaging.

Lebanon Student StarPack 2012 offers an invaluable opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and competence in the field of packaging. Through the contest, LibanPack has created a bridge between the young generation of students and future graphic designers & industrial engineers and industrialists, reinforcing its role as a platform of exchange and as an incubator for links and first contacts to evolve into long-term work relationships.

The success of Lebanon Student StarPack has led the renowned World Packaging Organization (WPO) to acknowledge  the six winners of the contest. Winners will automatically be qualified to participate in the WorldStar competition, allowing for even more international visibility to winning projects.  

This year, the award ceremony will take place at the UNESCO palace in Beirut on March 7, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. under the sought for patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of Industry. 

The ceremony will be run by a famous Lebanese presenter and will feature the Lebanese a capella group “Faiyhaa’ Choir”. The award ceremony will be followed by the inauguration of students’ projects exhibition that will continue for the following day. Leading professionals of the food and packaging industry, representatives private & public sector associations, non‐governmental organizations, academia, students and LibanPack members will be attending the event.

National Conference on Sustainable Packaging

LibanPack, with the support of UNIDO Regional Office in Beirut, organized the National Conference on Sustainable Packaging that took place on October 5 2011 at Adnan Kassar Edifice for ArabEconomy, under the patronage and the presence of H.E. Minister of Industry Mr.Frej Sabounjian and in cooperation with ALI (the Association of Lebanese Industrialists) and the Syndicate of Owners of Paper and Packaging Industriesin Lebanon.
Around 350 people attended the conference ranging from ministers, ambassadors, UN agencies, representatives of economic associations, industrialists,academics, businessmen, and design agencies.

LibanPack participated in the HORECA Exhibituion for food and catering that is organized on an annual basis. In the decoration of the stand , LibanPack focused on its services, in addition to presenting winners' projects of the StarPack Ceremony.During the Exhibition , many food industrialists showed high interest in participating in the activities of the project concerning packaging & labeling.

On Thursday April the 15th 2010, UNIDO MACLE Project jointly with LibanPack organized a packaging conference for the first anniversary of the launching of the Lebanese Packaging Center LibanPack at Moevenpick Hotel in the presence and under the patronage of H.E Mr. Mohammad Safadi the Minister of Economy and Trade, and with the participation of H.E Mr. Francois Barras the Swiss Ambassador. 200 persons from the private and public sector have attended the event.
